Organising A Child’s Birthday Slumber Party
Slumber parties are popular among girls wanting to celebrate their birthday. There can be a lot of pressure on parents to organise the best party for their daughter. This anxiety can often come from a healthy competition between parents to organise the best party at school, so the children talk about it for weeks to come. When your daughter tells you they have had a great party with all of their friends, you will feel that the time and effort you put into organising it has been worthwhile.
Making the party fancy dress is a good idea for a sleepover. Little girls look so cute when all dressed in a pink velour tracksuit, or go for a fairy or princess theme. Making the clothing fun takes pressure off parent to find something suitable for their child to go to the party in.
Get the food right and you are sure to have a great children’s party. You need to make sure that the guests have no allergies and accommodate any special dietary requirements. Once this has been ascertained, you can go wild with the food you provide for the kids. So you don’t need plates, knives or forks, keep food finger sized and easy to pick at.
Try to make sausage rolls, pizza, cakes and sweets, all of which are children’s favourites. If you think you need healthy choices as well, provide vegetable sticks and fruit pieces but I cannot assure you that they will be popular.
Have the children bring their own sleeping bag or duvet if you do not have enough to go around. The more comfortable the sleeping arrangements are, the less chance of you having grumpy guests in the morning.
Your daughter will be happy with her birthday slumber party if you follow this advise.
