Keep your eye on Trend Lab an up-and-coming baby gear supplier that has some serious style and attitude. This is one-stop-shopping at its best: Trend lab makes unique baby furniture, infant clothing, diaper bags and other must-have baby gifts. What I really like about Trend Lab is that their products are designed with babies in mind first and foremost. What this means in practice is that babies’ needs, desires, and sensibilities are all taken into account while designing Trend Lab products.

For instance, check out Trend Lab Baby’s baby bedding, which is distinctive with its colorful designs, friendly animal themes, and exciting geometric patterns. Toddlers love these kinds of designs, which illicit both excitement and comfort. For older kids, Trend Lab hones in on traditional designs such as zoo animals, flowers, and even Noah’s Ark! Trend Lab also specializes in an adorable collection of full-body animal hoodies, which allow your toddler to be a reindeer, a flower, a moo cow, or a classic bunny rabbit.

From my own experience as a parent, I can say with confidence that baby products need to be loved by the little ones as well as well-designed. With so many fad in the the baby gear market today, I see a lot of trendy products that I know my toddler would turn his nose up at. That’s why I trust Trend Lab with many of my baby’s needs.

Presently , baby shower etiquette has evolved from a set rules and procedures to a few flexible guidelines from which to base the structure of your shower on. Although there are no specific rules on how to host your baby shower, there are some basic rules of thumb that will help you have an amazing shower that will be comfortable and enjoyable for you and your guests. This bit of advice will answer all of the questions that you may have in mind and will address the issues at hand that matter when planning a baby shower. There is more to know than just shopping for the unique gift baby will love.

Who should host the baby shower?

Years ago, the tradition was for non-related friends or co-workers to host the celebration . However, today, many expectant mothers like for their own relatives to plan and host the event. The decision of who should host of the shower is completely up to you. In today’s society, anyone from the mommy’s sister, to her mom, to her best friend, to her co-worker, is all right. There is no right or wrong host. The important part here is that whoever decides to host the baby shower be close to the mother and know her very well, in order to plan and execute the event according to her taste and preferences . The host of the baby shower is more likely to know what the mom would prefer in the way of baby personalized gifts because she will undoubtedly know the new baby’s name, if it has been chosen.

When is it appropriate to have the baby shower?

Typically, a baby shower is held about one to two months before the newborn’s due date. This is a good time because the mother will know the gender of the baby by this date, and it will be easier to shop for presents knowing if the baby will be a boy or a girl. One or two months in advance of the baby’s birth date also gives the mother time to buy the items that she did not receive or that she is missing, before the baby’s arrival. Some people prefer to have the shower a few weeks after the baby is born. This is also perfectly acceptable, and completely up to you.

Where should the baby shower take place?

Depending on the number of guests , hosts can choose to have the shower at a house, a restaurant, or a banquet hall. The location of the baby shower is the host’s decision, and is dependant on the finances , too. When choosing the place for the celebration, consider the size of your audience, the mommy’s preferences, and the total costs.

Can I invite men to the baby shower?

Whether you decide to have an all-woman baby shower or a co-ed baby shower is up to you. Years ago, most women had women-only showers, but today, co-ed baby showers have become increasingly the thing . This gives the daddy-to-be, his friends, and male members of the family a chance to participate in the celebration.

When making decisions about the baby shower, it is critical to cater to the mommy-to-be and her preferences. There are no set do’s and don’ts in today’s society. More and more taboos have been broken, and many things have become appropriate and acceptable, as long as the expectant parents are content with the celebration. One thing that is becoming more and more apparent is many of the participants are wanting to show up with the most unique practical baby gift baskets.

Are you one who loves Cheap Dollhouse Furniture? If yes, I’m sure your sweet little one loves furniture also. How to fulfill her wishes? Very simple…fill her cute little dollhouse with Miniatures. I’m sure she would love it. She will say you are the best mom in the world. Don’t you like to get such an excellent feedback from your little one?

As how a house is not complete with furniture, miniature dollhouse is not complete without Cheap Dollhouse Furniture. When it comes to miniature dollhouse furniture, you have plenty of options before you. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. You can choose them according to your dollhouse theme. Miniature furniture is made using several materials such as metal. Wooden toys are safer when compared to plastic or metal. However, they are slightly costlier than the rest of the materials used in Miniatures.

There are lots of do-it-yourself dollhouse furniture kits available. You may even get your hands on any of them if you do not wish to buy the miniature furniture. The option is yours. Some prefer doing it all by themselves while some prefer getting readymade dollhouse furniture. I knew people who have take creating miniature dollhouse and furniture as their favorite pastime.

You may either buy or do it all by yourself. However, the top requirement for buidling Miniatures is the space that is available for this project. Choosing the wrong size will definitely ruin the look of your playhouse. Next would be cost. Think twice before investing your money on miniature furniture that is expensive. Not all expensive items are durable. Pay some attention, do research and then decide if price or quality are more important to you.

Things to consider other than space and cost when buying dollhouse furniture are:

a) Check for the material that is used to create the furniture.

b) See if there are any deals or discounts available. This way you can save some money.

c) Choose furniture in such a way that they are mobile. This way you can move it to a different location if the need be.

d) Check if there are no damages to the furniture. You pay and therefore deserve the best.

Custom made dollhouse furniture is available. As how you have separate rooms in your home that are used for specific purposes, dollhouse furniture too comes in various models. If you are going to get one for your bedroom, go for miniature furniture like lamps, books, etc.

Just that you got the required information about dollhouse furniture, start right away and make your child glad with the dollhouse of his interest.

I’m an avid health buff. I take several different types of vitamins. I spend for costly dietary supplements, all in the hopes of becoming as healthy as possible. But the big irony is that I indulge in guilty pleasures that are unhealthy. You name it -cigarette (and pot on occasions), booze, unhealthy sleeping, and eating habits, and I have it.

But heck, that’s how I am, contradictory in many ways. No wonder people think I’m odd. What do you know? These contradictions may have the balancing effect I need. All the dietary supplements I’m taking may just offset the dangers of smoking and drinking. Besides, I don’t ever want to quit cigarette or booze. And I actually have good reasons for not wanting to.

For one, cigarette cases are just way too fabulous. If I quit smoking, I won’t have any reason for bringing them around anymore. And practically everybody around me smokes. Even if I do quit smoking, I will still be inhaling second hand smoke, which is just as perilous. If I don’t smoke, I will be getting all the adverse effects without enjoying my guilty pleasure. And oh, my favorite Zippo will lose its utility. What a shame.
And what if I quit drinking? My uber sophisticated leather wine carrier will be gathering dust at the pantry. Nobody wants that. And my social life will be totally dead, not to mention the family ties severed. I won’t be able to bond with my friends anymore. Now imagine all the deep talks I will be missing.

Besides, it’s my privilege to be born in this post-Prohibition era. During the Jazz era, when booze stopped flowing because of the dry forces’ success to move forward a law banning the distribution of alcohol, people had to go underground to acquire a decent drink. Some had to make their own alcoholic drink at home while others had to get false prescriptions just so they can get hold of some medicinal whiskey. It would be a shame to let alcohol pass me by when they’re so much more accessible.

Also, I am well aware that my sleeping habits are unhealthy. But if I do take on a healthy sleeping schedule, I will not be seeing my friends anymore, or any member of my family for that matter. But why, they are all a bunch of night owls. As for the unhealthy food I eat, I will be getting them only now, while I’m alive. So why miss on them? I won’t be having them when I’m dead.

Go ahead and enjoy your own guilty pleasure!

How do you name your child? Do you call a family powwow, sit down with Cross century pens and a ream of papers, scrawl out possible names for the little one, and then split hairs over the names that sounds the prettiest?

Naming Children

In days of yore, child-naming was simpler. Parents did not have to scratch names off a list using their Cross pens. Expectant parents either named children after a grandparent, aunt, or uncle, or bestowed them with names that seemed to describe them best - think Indian names like Little Foot, Big Rock, and Strong as the Wind. There was no elaborate fuss over whom the child should be named after.

Odd and Odder

Today, parents put much thought into their children’s names. Thanks to celebrities’ penchant for picking out bizarre names, the rest of humanity stranger by the minute.

More recently, a couple in New Zealand lost custody of their daughter when they named her Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii. A family court judge gave the order after it was learned the child felt so humiliated by the name she refused to share it with her friends. Rather than confess her parents had named her Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii, the little girl claimed her name is K.

Quirky Is Not Always Criminal

In his ruling, the judge said parents should not give their children strange names as this exposes them to ridicule by their peers. He said poor judgment when it comes to names would only be a social disability and an unnecessary handicap to a child who, unwittingly, has to bear the burden of being called Talula Does the Hula from Hawaii. To demonstrate his point better, the judge gave a list of names that may be deemed bad for a child’s well-being, among them:

1. Yeah Detroit
2. Sex Fruit
3. Fish and Chips
4. Stallion
5. Keenan Got Lucy
6. Twisty Poi

Not all odd names are considered damaging to child psychology, however. In fact, in the same ruling, the judge also included names that, though strange, were allowed by the court, specifically:

1. Number 16 Bus Shelter
2. tragically, Violence
3. Midnight Chardonnay

This ruling brings to light one aspect of New Zealand legislation that is not like any in the world. Before parents can whip out a Cross pen set and register the quirky name of their child, they have to consider the law does not allow names that would cause offense to a reasonable person.

There are many things they don’t teach you in kindergarten, things which you come by on your own. For example, you duck_dodge when someone starts firing, or run for help the moment a man tries to make meatballs out of you with an ax. You know enough not to talk loudly when the boss is having a headache, or invite him to your son’s bar mitzvah. Without being told by anyone, you understand what a passport wallet is for and why males, from your son to your father and even up to your sometime-lover, prefer leather wallets above all. Naturally, you also know that “fuck” is not the politest of words, and you should try not to use it before the kids, at work, and polite company.

Believe it or not, however, there are books that have fuck in them. Just what their authors, editors, and publishers were thinking, we would never know. Perhaps “fuck” is a good marketing tool for drawing attention? Find out by reading on.

1. The Fuck-up

If you enjoyed Broadway’s Rent, then you would be amused by this book. It’s short and tells a story well. Arthur Nersesian engages readers as a man whose life is a mountain of fuck-ups.

2. The Greatest Fucking Moment in Sports

If you’re Kevin L. Donihe and you love sports almost as much as you love swearing, what do you do? Why, write The Greatest Fucking Moment in Sports, of course! This book is sure to be a hilarious read. Donihe speaks in a voice that is both witty and deranged.

3. Fuck a Hippie… But Be a Punk

More pamphlet than a book, this one goes for $25 over at Amazon.com. I have no idea what it contains, except that it was published by Glass Eye Books in 2001, and is probably entertaining enough to warrant the waste of paper.

4. You Don’t Have to Fuck People Over to Survive

This book is a collection of comic strips, images, and visual history that are both deeply personal and undeniably political at the same time. Seth Tobocman takes a stand on complex relationships and the world of mobs, bastards, bohemians, and bosses.

There are many reasons that sign languages have been introduced into a child’s life. Most of the time we as parents don’t think about sign language or teaching the language to our children if they are not hearing impaired. Today there are many individuals and parents who have found sign language can be helpful to communicate with their child as they are growing up whether they are hearing impaired or not.

Baby sign language should be and normally is the same as American Sign Language. This way your baby learns proper sign language that will be of benefit to them as they continue to grow and will be able to communicate with those who are hearing impaired. Many people give credit for the advancement of baby sign language to a few members of the staff at California State University and University of California. They conducted research that showed the many benefits of baby sign language. Joseph Garcia, an interpreter for American Sign Language, found out in his research that starting to show signs to a baby at six to seven months old will generally enable that baby to be able to communicate through baby sign language by the time they are eight to nine months old. There are several words and phrases that you will be able to teach your infant through baby sign language. A few of them are more, eat, sleep, help, dirty, cold, again, thank you, toothbrush, and many more! Imagine the fun and joy of being able to communicate with your preverbal infant through baby sign language! There are different ways to teach your baby sign language. Many parents find success through purchasing DVDs to teach their baby sign language. There are also books and flashcards that work quite well. The important thing is diligent repetition so that the baby will learn to associate the sign with what it is that they desire to express. Baby sign language is a fantastic opportunity for your child. Many parents have experienced how amazing it is to be able to communicate with their infant through baby sign language and testify of it’s benefits.

There are many adaptations to sign language. There is the British Sign Language, and American Sign Language to name just two. Some words are not easily translated into English from another language, but you will find that an entire sentence may be translated. So this can even help the person learn another language, even if they are just signing that language over speaking it. There are many ways to use kids sign language. You can first teach the child to spell with their fingers and then graduate to phrases or you can use both. Finger spelling is usually used for names or places that either the child does not know the sign for, or for things where there is no recognized sign. You will find that your child quickly grasps what you are teaching and you can move onto more complex signs or even enroll them in classes to further their education.

Learning how to communicate with your baby before he is able to speak is a benefit for everyone in the home. These are skills that will not only stay with and help your baby, but your other children in the home will greatly benefit as well. Give it a try; you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. - baby sign language

The demand for designer diaper bags has gone off the charts ever since the Hollywood A List all decided to raise families simultaneously. This outpouring of demand has made many of these designer bags trendy… and outrageously expensive.

Well, there’s at least one designer diaper bag company that is selling high-value bags for a good reason - Reese Li diaper bags This is because Reese Li bags are actually stitched together by Reese Li herself and her team of expert tailors and seamstresses. How nice to know that someone still makes high-quality goods the old way, rather than by outsourcing to various developing countries.

The founder of Reese Li diaper bags demands such attention to detail because making these bags is her source of passion. Her bags are renown for their colorful fabric combinations as well as their unique pocket designs. According to Reese Li, she was inspired by the lack of quality diaper bags on the market, especially ones with good pockets for accessories.

Some popular press highlights of diaper bags by Reese Li include Child Magazine, Earnshaw’s, and Urban Baby Magazine. By far the most popular design is the Lexington series. The Lexington bag series is behind much of the lavish reviews in the press. The Lexington baby bag is made with designer fabrics that are both easy to clean as well as highly durable. The Lexington keeps liquids contained on the inside with a waterproof interior, and is weatherproof on the outside. To put it another way, the rain can’t come in, and the unfortunate spills can’t come out.

Besides being synonymous with spring break vacations and sand, sand and surf, Cancun is also famous for the number of girls who parade through its streets and thoroughfares. Unofficially known by all as Cancun girls, these young girls are mostly of the college going age who want like to have their fun and who, for the most part were caught out in the act.

Cancun girls are a generally fun loving breed who is up for most anything that’s thrown at them and you can always find at least a handful of them at any party or resort, especially during spring break. That’s not to say that there’s a stereotypical girl out there who decides that she wants to be one of the Cancun girls, but it is still true that these girls exists and are not just figments of the imagination.

Wherever you go on the height of summer you will be bombarded by a bevy of Cancun girls in all shapes and sizes, and all of them in various states of undress. The dress code in Cancun on these hot summer days generally tends to be as little as you can get away with, and most of the girls will take advantage of this fact to strip down to the barest of bikinis. Sometimes it’s even difficult to call the scraps of barely there cloth a bikini.

Be that as it may, there is also the chance that you might stumble across not a scantily clad girl, but one who believes in an all over tan. Although not as common a sight as in some European countries this practice can be seen from time to time from amongst the throng of people on the white hot beaches.

Now apart from the fact that these Cancun girls seem to be ready for any wild partying or adventure that they can get into, you shouldn’t forget that they just college going girls. Girls who want to have some fun before they go back to a bout of hard study.

Cancun girls aren’t a breed apart nor are they anything other than what they are, young college girls out for a good time, and determined to find it in Cancun, the spring break central for most college students. So when you go to Cancun don’t be shocked by what you see, and don’t believe everything that you hear. If you just keep in mind the pertinent facts and enjoy yourself regardless of others, you’ll have a smashing great vacation yourself.
