A Unique Birthday Invitation
Some of my friends say that I always have to show off by doing things differently. Sometimes they say this as a joke, but other times they find it sincerely annoying. I don’t see it that way, however. The way I look at life, the most important thing is to never just go with the flow. I always try to put a little bit of extra effort into all of my endeavors. I try to be more creative, more unusual, and more inventive. It isn’t a matter of showing off. It’s just that an active approach to life makes everything more enjoyable.
So when it was time for my birthday, I figured I would send the most unique birthday invitations possible. Now, a lot of people try to get unique birthday party invitations. There are a million unique birthday invitation companies online that offer varying services and suggestions. You can send a birthday ball with your greetings on it, send animated email birthday cards, and all the rest. I wanted to get away from all of this. I wanted truly unique birthday invitations.
I finally figured it out. For my unique birthday invitations, I would send each person a small wooden box. I would not order these from one source. Instead, I would spend a few months collecting boxes wherever I saw them. Each box would be different, and each would contain unique birthday invitations. There would be trinkets and personal greetings in hand written calligraphy. Not only would my unique birthday invitations encourage everyone to come to my party, but they would also serve as birthday party favors. People would get a memento of the celebration before they even attended!
