Preparing Fish – My Personal Tips

Are you looking for great fish recipes? One of the best ways to cook an oily fish, such as mackerel, is to use a cedar board. Make sure you clean and gut the fish, removing any scales. Brush the cedar board with a light coating of olive oil. Stuff the body cavity of the mackerel with herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and bay leaves. A nice addition to the fish is to add half of a lemon to the body cavity. The acidity of the lemon is a great way to cut through the oiliness of the fish. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Arrange the fish on the board, place in the oven, and bake for 30 minutes. After extracting from the oven, be sure to let the fish sit for 2-5 minutes before plating and serving.

Very few people are familiar with this way of cooking oily fish, but it can be a fun and exciting way to spice up an underused dish. Check back often for more exciting fish recipes. My favorite way to make grilled fish is to baste it with a sauce made of soy sauce, garlic paste, ginger paste, and a small amount of ground cayenne. I place the fish in foil and grill the fish till it is browned. To go with this particular meat I have grilled some onions, garlic, potatoes and I’ve added some ripe mangoes.

Your meal can taste like a gourmet dinner without the hard work of cooking and prepping. Although the crockpot does a great job with any meat, I think my favorite food to cook is chicken.

When You Can’t Decide On Peanut Butter Or Oatmeal Cookies, Make A Combination

We make both Peanut Butter Cookies and Oatmeal Cookies in our house, and the debate continues about which is better. If I only have time to make one or the other, the debate can become quite heated. The solution? Combine the two! Why not make Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies? The result is a wonderfully, chewy, and creamy concoction that everybody loves. The two main components, peanut butter and oatmeal, are also nutritious so I don’t feel bad about sending a couple each day in my children’s lunch or snack for school. Once our children explain to their teacher what’s in the cookies, the teacher not only understands, but wants the recipe!
